Arthur Beutel is a classically trained singer currently based out of New York City. His dynamic, high-energy approach to performing in both musical theater and classical styles brings his unique brand of humor to the stage for all to enjoy.

Arthur most recently joined The Mac-haydn Theatre in Chatham, NY for their 2023 season. He debuted as Pat Denning in 42nd Street and understudied the role of Julian Marsh. Arthur rounded out the season performing Principal Harry Clark (Footloose), Max Detweiler (The Sound of Music), and Hank Majewski & Others (Jersey Boys). Since the summer Arthur has returned to The Metropolitan Opera stage in Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco and Richard Wagner’s Tannhauser.

Highlights from Arthur’s performance career have included Max Detweiler (The Sound of Music) with NCCA Jean’s Playhouse, Danio Danilovich (The Merry Widow) with Ralph Opera Center, Ko-Ko, the Lord High Executioner (The Mikado) with both Empire Lyric Players and Cedar Rapids Opera Theater, Papgeno (Die Zauberflöte) with Miami Music Festival, (Steven Kodaly (She Loves Me) with the Jorgensen Center, Anthony Hope (Sweeney Todd) with Ralph Opera Center, Bert (Mary Poppins) with Inspire Creative, Tommy (Brigadoon) with Opera Theater of the Rockies, and Lumiere (Beauty and The Beast) with Opera Theater of the Rockies.

As a dancer, he has been seen as Catalabutte, the master of ceremonies, with the Ballet Theater Company of Hartford in Connecticut in their spring production of Sleeping Beauty. He has also joined their winter ballet The Nutcracker as Mr.Stahlbaum. During his university studies, he was a member of an Elite Dance Company in Denver, Colorado, as well as having trained with the Colorado Dance Collective. Arthur keeps up his dancing at Steps and Broadway Dance Center in NYC.

Arthur received his Bachelor of Music degree from Colorado State University and recently completed an Artist Diploma at the University of Connecticut under the guidance of soprano Constance Rock and Boston Lyric Opera coach, Brett Hodgdon. He is currently studying with Chris Citera of Mike Ruckles Voice Studios.
